We had a lovely time exploring rivers with the Wessex River Trust. The children got involved in a hands-on assembly where they discussed the journey of a river from source to sea. They then had the opportunity to investigate a variety of invertebrates from the River Bourne using classification keys to identify them and discuss their importance in the river. We had a great couple of days getting involved and learning more about our local river.
