March 21 is World Poetry Day. This aims to promote poetry, including writing, publishing and reading. Clarendon Junior School has a wide range of poetry books in the library for all the children to enjoy and we enjoy looking at different poems during reading lessons. This term has also been 'Take One Poem' term with each year group focussing much of their Literacy work on one poem.  I am sure that many parents have been hearing their child practise verses from a classic narrative poem!
