Another restful night - now full on with breakfast, lunch-making and then on to Chateau de Fontainebleau for the day.
The weather has been our friend again today. We began looking round the grounds in brilliant sunshine then moved on into Chateau Fontainebleau with it's amazing history, furniture, murals, tapestries and paintings.
Lunch was a picnic in Fontainebleau Forest - again in lovely warm sunshine. This was followed by a 'trek' down into the valley where we learnt the art of "Bouldering". Some of the children have named the place 'Rockutopia'!
Back at Chateau de Grande Romaine we will have our evening meal (maybe with the chance to try certain French 'delicacies'!) before getting back on the coach for our evening tour of Paris.
Leaving the Chateau at 7pm in daylight, it did not take long for darkness to fall as we headed in to Paris for our coach tour. We have seen the Eiffel Tower, L'Arc du Triomphe, Le Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, La Place de la Concorde and the Champs Elysees. We have learnt French history from our PGL rep and have returned, safe & sound but very sleepy.
Early start tomorrow to be packed & ready for the journey home.
